Started new course today

Today I started my new course. It is called Diversity in the Classroom. Should be interesting and fun.

Heard from the hubby today. He signs his re enlistment papers tomorrow…who knows though, it’s already tomorrow there, he might have already signed them. Crazy time difference. lol

We know what company he is going to once he gets to Ft. Bragg already though. I’d say the name of the company, but it’s not like anyone would actually know what I was talking about. Supposedly they just got back from Iraq in November 2009 so hopefully it will be awhile before they deploy again and if we are lucky Chuck will be long gone from them by the time they do.

It’s 11:43pm my time and I just turned in my final paper, all 2,143 words of it! OMG my fingers are tired! I’ve got to stop waiting until the last minute to write papers! But you know, I tend to do so well under pressure for some reason. So anyways…

Woohoo I’m 3 more credit hours towards my Associates degree! 2 Classes to go and I’m done! I can’t hardly wait!

Update on hubby…

He comes home next month. Can’t wait!

He also re enlisted for Ft. Bragg, NC and will be coming home for good in May. What a wonderful birthday present! This 12 month deployment has sucked. I miss him!

3 of the kids were sick last week, they are all feeling better now.

My stepdad Johnny was in the hospital Friday, please say a prayer if you do that kinda thing. I’m hoping to go see him tomorrow.

I finish my current college course tomorrow! I have a 2,000 word paper due that I haven’t even started yet!

2 more courses to go and I'll have my associates degree. Can’t wait!

I like giving reviews to websites that happen to catch my eye now and then. I am a huge Google search junkie. I love finding new sites with kewl and interesting things. Online shops, helpful tips, etc. I don’t get paid to review these websites. Heck they may not even know I am reviewing them. But if it helps them out a little bit with their traffic, then all the better. If you would like me to review your website/blog just let me know and I’ll give it some consideration.

Today’s Saturday Shout-Out goes to The Vintage Pearl. I love their website. It’s so pretty and inviting. From the first time I saw their homepage, I immediately wanted to see more inside this fabulous little shop. Oh and was I surprised! Their jewelry is beautiful. My most favorite item would have to be the Dainty Drops. But with me having 4 kids, a whopping $58 for something like this is a bit steep for me. I mean I understand you get 4 charms, but still. I guess I’m just cheap. I could see maybe paying $30 tops for a necklace like this, but no more. But hey some people don’t mind buying expensive handmade items. I am by no means giving this website a negative review, because I really love this little shop. It’s just the prices for me and my clan are a bit expensive. But for those of you with one or two kids, it would be a perfect place to get some handmade items that you just may cherish forever.

New Moon – The Twilight Saga

I am getting SOOOOOO extremely excited for the New Moon Movie coming out in 10 days 12 hours and 47 minutes! I’ve been watching Movie Trailers and keeping up with all the twilight websites for spoilers, videos, and just anything and everything twilight saga related. This morning I found out when the Eclipse movie is coming out!!!! 30 June 2010 Thank goodness we don’t have to wait till the end of the year again for the next movie! So who else out there is a huge Twilight Saga fan? Who is going to rush to the theatre first thing on Nov. 20th to see New Moon? I’m hoping to go that night sometime, depends on all the kids though. *sigh*

I haven’t posted in 2 months! Can you believe that? TWO MONTHS! I should be ashamed of myself. So what’s happened in my life the past 2 months? I got a job! First one in 9 years! What a busy weekend so far. It’s been fun! We had Adrian's 1st Birthday party Saturday. What a blast that was. So many people and some really good cake! Can’t wait to see all the pictures everyone took. Hurry up everyone and upload them to the internet already! Today we went to church. Ahh so refreshing. Afterwards we went to Papa Johnny’s house, ate hotdogs and burgers, hung out, let the kids play, and I tried to chat it up with the adults. Since you know I don’t get much adult conversation. Tomorrow I plan on letting the kids go outside and enjoy the weather and play in the pool. Soak them up with some sunscreen and let them just have at it. Maybe they will sleep good afterwards. One can always hope. Well off I go. Got homework to do and such. Nite all.

I talked with my Grannie last night on the phone for awhile and it was so nice to have such a great conversation with her. She told me she missed me getting on my Blog and updating it. Well as I had posted earlier this week, we lost our sweet Chloe. To my surprise someone was looking to get rid of their little male Yorkie that was almost the exact age as Chloe. We adopted little Reese last night. Here are some pictures I took of him this morning:

Missing My Puppy Chloe

Well today is the first day of not seeing my baby Chloe. Yesterday I only saw her for a short time, while she laid on her blanket motionless. Her little heart stopped beating around 8am. She managed to fight for her life through out the night, but it was just to much for her little body. We still don’t know exactly why she died. I guess only God knows. She was the best puppy in the world though and I’ll never forget her.

In other news…I finally got back an estimate on my house plans and it was way to expensive for my liking. So I picked another house plan, with only a few changes this time, and I’m hoping to hear something today or tomorrow. The stress of house buying never ends it seems.

Well I’m off to clean house and watch my Soaps too. If you have a pet, give them a hug and kiss now, because you never know how much time you have left with them.

Dear Chloe,

Chloe, we only had you for a short time. You were only 10 months old when you passed away. But I want you to know how much I loved you and how happy you made me. I loved playing fetch with you with your favorite green ball. The way you would cock your head to the side when you looked at me, would make my heart melt. I’ll never forget you sweet girl. We all miss you so very much. Rest in peace and I hope you have a wonderful time on the other side of that beautiful rainbow bridge.

I got a call from the hubby about 12:45am! He said most the guys were now feeling much better. No more stomach bug and stopped up noses! YAY! And to make the night even better, I got an email as well! I mean it doesn’t get much better than that does it? A phone call and an email all in one night! Wooooo it must be my lucky day!

I’m hoping to get a price on my floor plans for my first home today! So keep your fingers crossed that my good vibe continues throughout the day! I’d love to get a good price on my house so that I can get a piece of land in a really nice neighborhood, where my mother lives! Today is going so far so good!

I got an Email from Hubby!

He told me I was beautiful and that he loved me very much. He said its starting to get hot there, I’m sure it’s just going to get hotter too. I just look forward to seeing him on the webcam…probably going to take a few more weeks though. I hate having to wait.

Hopefully today I’ll hear about my modular home. They are suppose to give me a price on the 4 bedroom 3 bathroom layout I created. It’s already 11am and I still haven’t heard anything. Starting to get impatient here. LOL! I was hoping I wouldn’t have to pay to keep my things in storage past the end of March, but I really don’t think that’s going to happen now. So I’ll have to pay for another month. Blah!

Me and the kids are feeling better today. Kristopher has been eating and playing all day. The boys have been playing cars, watching TV, and fighting like normal. So hopefully we don’t all get sick again for a very long time. Because getting sick all the time is really starting to get frustrating!

Quick update

I wanted to update you on my situation here at home. My 2 year old has been sick since Wednesday. He has the Rotavirus. We have had a horrible time with him the last few days. He hasn't been able to keep much down and has been glued to me. Well thank goodness for Nana’s and Papa’s too, they have been such a HUGE help! But I tell ya, when kids are sick they always seem to want mommy. So of course I ended up getting sick as well from being in such close contact with him constantly, (and those kisses he kept giving me when he was feeling better at moments – who can resist those???)…anyway, my symptoms are not as bad as his. I'm finally starting to recover, but my 2 year old is still very sick. The local doctor even made a house call last night to bring us some phenergan gel to rub on his wrists to help him stop throwing up and so he could get some sleep last night, something none of us have had much of recently due to him being so sick. The doctor is a close neighbor friend, so we were so thankful he stopped by to help. Anyway, I'm going to try to catch up on my school work now. The baby is sleeping and I'm extremely tired, but I'm going to try to get it all done tonight before I go to bed.

Oh I heard from the hubby early this morning at like 12:15am. I tell ya the time difference is a pain in the butt for me. But I'm not complaining, I don’t honestly care what time he calls, as long as he calls. :) He said he was feeling better and that soon he hopes to have an address and some internet. I can’t hardly wait to finally send him a letter or a box full of goodies. Oh and to see him on webcam! I can’t hardly wait!

Not to much to update on the house hunting…I put in some floor plans for a modular home through Clayton Homes and I’m waiting to hear back from them with a price…wish me luck!

YAY! My husband finally called me. After waiting 4 long days, I finally got my first phone call. I’m excited and sad all at the same time. I was so glad to hear his voice, but at the same time it was like a wake up call, he is in Kuwait, so far away, and soon to be in a horrible place full of people who want nothing more to do than kill our soldiers. Ugh, I shouldn’t think that way…easier said than done. Anyways, he said he had been sick along with most of the other guys. I’m sure the climate change is tough on their bodies. He also said the time difference was whooping everybody’s butt. I can’t imagine such a huge time change like that. I’d want to sleep 24/7. lol. Other than that he just said they are keeping them plenty busy with classes and briefings. He said he would call again in a few days…so the wait starts all over again. Joy! I’m just thankful though that I got to talk to him, I’ll just hang onto that until I hear from him again.

Well the bank turned down my offer. They want me to go up $20,000! Which is crazy! You would think with the economy being the way it is right now, buying a house would be easy…but nooooooo, its still a pain and difficult!

I went and looked at 2 more houses today. Didn’t like the 1st one much, but the second was beautiful…but again, they are asking way to much. People must think everyone in this little town is rich or something.

Last night me and my dad went and looked at some Modular homes. Now them things are NICE! I even found me a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom one that I really like. But with that comes, buying land, bricking it under, paving a driveway, and fencing in a backyard. Money money money I tell ya! I so wish it grew on trees!

There isn’t an update on the hubby either…still haven’t heard from him. I’m sure he is okay though, they are probably keeping him plenty busy.

Waiting is sooo not fun!

Apparently the bank has decided to put my offer up in front of a committee in order to decide to accept my offer or not. How long is that going to take? Ugh I hate having to wait. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they accept the offer though. What’s that phrase that people say? “Good things come to those who wait!” Well I hope that’s the case for me.

Update on the hubby…I still haven’t heard from him. I’m praying he is okay. It is really tough not knowing and not hearing anything. It’s hard to believe that he is so far away, alone without his family…well I guess he isn’t alone, he has his battle buddies with him…I just hope and pray they all take good care of each other.

I started my new online courses today. I’m taking Environmental Science and Teaching as a Profession. I’m hoping I enjoy these classes. I’m going to try to stay caught up this time around. My last block of classes was a haze and I constantly seemed to be behind. I’m just glad I managed to pass them. This time I’m hoping to actually learn something and remember what I learned. lol.

I am now an Army Wife who’s husband has deployed for the 2nd time. Instead this time it won’t be for 7 months, but for 12 months. *sigh*

Today me and the boys went to my cousin Angie’s house for a yummy Sunday lunch. “Thanks Cuz!” It was delicious! The boys got to meet their cousin Aaron, whom I must say is growing up so fast and is just absolutely adorable! And Cuz if you are reading this, I just want you to know I managed to get lost after I left your house and yes I was using the GPS and still managed to get lost. LOL!

Tomorrow hopefully I’ll hear from my realtor letting me know if the bank accepted my offer on the house or not. Keep your fingers crossed everyone!!! Please!!!

Time for an update?

Well me and the kids are now in North Carolina! Hubby leaves for Iraq way to soon. We are going to miss him so very much. I can’t imagine my life without him for a full 12 months. But life must go on I guess. I’ll just take one day at a time. One good thing about being back home is being so very close to my little niece whom I absolutely adore. As you can see from the picture, Cassie loves her too. It is so wonderful for the kids to be so close to their little cousins again! Last night Kailey got to hang out with one of her little cousins at Girl Scouts. They were so cute holding hands and walking around talking. I enjoyed watching them bond, Kailey needs a girlfriend other than her sister Cassie and cousins make the best friends. One of my best friends is my cousin Angie and I want my children to know what its like to have a cousin to be best friends with as well. The joys of being near family!

In other news…I am looking for a new home for me and the kids to call home. Me and hubby have decided to buy our first home. How exciting and stressful!!! I honestly had no clue what it took. We had found one house that I had fallen in love with, but it ended up being in a flood zone and flood insurance is way to expensive! The things you learn. So we started the house hunting again and I came across this pretty house, it has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. It also has a huge rec room for my husband to call his man room. lol. Since he will be gone for a year though to Iraq, I figure me and the kids can use it as one huge home school/playroom! Cassie is very excited about the thought of having her own room. I must say I am jealous, I was a teenager before I had my own room. Anyways, we put a bid in this past Friday and since its a forecloser, we have to wait to hear back from the bank to see if they accept our offer or not. So the waiting begins. I’ll keep you updated on how things move along. Until then…byes!

Busy Busy Friday

Well good morning world! I’ve got lots to do this morning. I’ve got to call the Gas company, Electric company, Water company, and good ol’ AT&T to get all of our stuff cut off next week. Then we have to ride to the other side of town to go to the hospital pharmacy so I can get my medication. What fun!

This afternoon though we are going to Adventure Zone with the hubbies Company to have some fun. I haven’t told the kids yet. It’s going to be a surprise. It is freaking cold outside though! I think we are going to have to stick to the inside fun stuff if it continues to be this cold all day!

Tonight we get to go to the airport and pick my mama up. The kids are so excited! I’m surprised the girls even got any sleep last night. That is all they have talked about the last few days.

So I’m off to make my phone calls and then I have to get all the kids washed and dressed. Ugh it’s going to be a long morning. I wish I could just go back to bed! lol

I better clean house!!! lol I can’t wait for my mom to see Texas. I really think she is going to like it. The warm weather, the views of the mountains, the nearby mall, all the places to go and eat! I know I like it here…to bad I can’t move El Paso home to Laurinburg, NC. Then back home would be perfect! I’m excited that mom is coming to see us, so are all the kids. We are all counting down the days and marking them on Cassie’s new calendar she got with her Sonlight Curriculum. Speaking of Sonlight, I made a few little buttons for other Sonlighters to use on their blog as well, by request of a lady on their forums Wendy. Hopefully all the Sonlighters out there will get some good use out of them. But back to counting down the days…even though we are enjoying counting down the days until my mom gets here, I however am not wanting to countdown the days until we have to leave my husband to go back to NC. It’s going to be one of the hardest days of my life. To tell my husband goodbye and pray that I’ll get to see and hold him again soon. Once he gets to Iraq in a few short weeks, we will be many miles away from each other. They say “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”, we shall see. I think its just going to make my heart break into a million pieces. :(

So very sad. I don’t want to tell my husband good bye. How will I ever make it not having him around for 12 months? Who will keep my feet warm at night? Who will drive me crazy like only he can? Who will watch the kids while I take a quick shower? Who will handle CJ when he just won’t listen and is driving me nuts? lol Who will remember to put the leftover dinner in the fridge? Who will take out the trash? There are so many things I will miss about my husband being around, to many to mention that’s for sure. Ugh I’m so not looking forward to telling my husband good bye. Sometimes I hate the military!

Box Day!

The Sonlight website likes to call the day your boxes arrive, “BOX DAY”. Well yesterday was our Box Day! YAY! As you can see from the picture, the kids were very excited and even little Kristopher down there on the floor was interested to see what all the fuss was about. We had a blast pulling out all the fun books, workbooks, and other material. Of course the kids wanted to start immediately, but I had to talk them into waiting until today. So today as promised, we started Home Schooling. What fun we had! It was a little rough at first, trying to figure everything out and what order to do it all in. But we managed to survive our first day with all smiles. The only thing that drove me nuts was when they would say, “What’s next? What’s next?” like a million times. LOL!

You remember all them beautiful family portraits we had made at Olan Mills back in December? Well we now have them hanging beautifully on our living room wall, for all to see. I bought the picture frames from Wal-Mart. I think it turned out great! What do you think? The picture isn’t a great one, the best I could do though. They are centered on the largest wall in the living room above our couch. Since we are moving soon, I’ll sadly have to take them down. But when we get our new home I can hang them up again! :D

Homeschooling Again!

I’m so very excited! So are the kids! How wonderful that my children are so excited about me being their teacher again. I ordered an awesome Sonlight Curriculum. It is a Christian company specializing in literature-based home school curriculum programs. I was able to customize this coming year for each of the girls. I plan to even start CJ (my soon to be 4 year old ) with his own curriculum in a few months! Our school supplies should arrive Thursday afternoon and I’ll have the fun of organizing it all and be ready for our first real day of home school on Friday. For now we are working in some work books the girls had from last year I had bought them and we are doing some reading. Friday can’t get here soon enough!

Appointment drama

Cassie had an appointment this morning at 9:20am at the Clinic (I thought). We arrive and go to check in and the lady informs me the appointment was at the hospital and not the clinic. The hospital? What hospital takes appointments for a medicine refill? UGH! Well I have never been to the hospital and had no clue how to get there. So I had to call my mom back home to get her to check on the Internet for an address. (Thank you MAMA!) So I finally get to the hospital and get someone on the phone about my screwed up appointment and the lady informs me that I was put down as a "no show" and the lady at the clinic that checked me in should have called the hospital to let them know I had gone to the wrong place. Keyword "should have", that crazy lady at the clinic was no help at all. She wouldn't give me the address to the hospital and all she told me was I was at the wrong place and that I needed to go to the hospital for the appointment. No help at all! But thank goodness the lady at the hospital was very kind and understanding and made my daughter Cassie another appointment for tomorrow at 1pm. At the hospital! Yes, I know where it is now! I even saved the address on my GPS. So wish us luck we get to the "right" place tomorrow on time.

Well I've been sick. Horrible isn't it?!?! I know you all missed me so much. Who wouldn't? I mean I am the star of the show here. Anyway, I'm feeling much better today. Just sitting and relaxing for a few minutes. I have a lot to do today. I have to go pick up our family pictures from Olan Mills, go buy some picture frames, I need to buy a book of stamps to send out Christmas cards, and we need a few groceries. Oh not to mention the house is a mess because the kids have had a fantastic time destroying the house while mom was sick in the bed for two days. Ah the joy!

I managed to pass both my college classes from my last block of courses! YAY go me! But due to getting a D+ in Critical Thinking, my GPA has dropped to 3.25. Ugh! But I'm going to be positive and if I pass my two classes this block with an A+ or an A- hopefully I can bring that GPA up some. One can hope right?

This Saturday I am hosting my first ever giveaway over on SITS! I'm going to be giving away a children's book. Not sure which one as of yet though. I'm hoping it will get me some business, because honestly, its been kind of dead lately. I've only sold one book in the past 2 months. Sad, I know. 46% Of Women Prefer Internet To Sex

An online survey commissioned by Intel has found, among other things, that 46% of women would rather go without sex for two weeks than give up the Internet for that long. The numbers get bigger for certain age groups; 49% of women aged 18-34 would make that choice, and 52% of women aged 35-44.

Some 30% of all men would swap sex for the Internet for two weeks, if they had to, with 39% of men aged 18-34 willing to make that sacrifice, according to the survey. Only 23% of men aged 35-44 said they would do so.

Is it morning already?

Kristopher my 2 year old decided to wake up 30 minutes early this morning. Joy! So because him and CJ share a room, he woke CJ up as well. So at 6:30am this morning they were both screaming, talking, and playing. Ugh! As I lay there thinking, you have got to be kidding me, I feel like I just went to sleep, I hear my oldest Cassie start crying. It is amazing how fast a mother can become AWAKE at the sound of one of her children in tears. So I jump up and go running to her room, where Kailey is still sleeping, I look up in the top bunk for Cassie but she isn't there, then I hear her cries coming from the bathroom. So I turn around and head back to the bathroom to find her throwing up all over the bathroom floor. Who said being a mom isn't a full time job??? By the way, it is so very underpaid!!! So I clean her up and the floor up and help her to the couch. Then the boys remind me they are up early by screaming my name, which I need to change, because the name mama is extremely over used. So the morning continues like normal. I get Kailey to school, which she is very excited about, because today is their Christmas party in her class and they are making waffles for breakfast. YUM! So any ways, we are all just hanging out this morning in the livingroom watching television. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We have a Christmas Party to go to tomorrow night, then Sunday I'm going Christmas shopping and Sunday night we are going Christmas light hunting! I can't wait!

OMG its 27 degrees outside!

Everything is all frosted over. The van was no fun, having to wait for the windows to defrost while trying to see out the front window. Because if I waited, the kids would of been late to school. So I turned the defrost on full blast and sprayed tons of window cleaning fluid on it and within a minute or so I could see fully out the front window. Now the side windows are a different story. Here in El Paso almost every stop sign is a 4 way stop sign and well you have to see who turn it is next and that's kind of hard when you can't see out the side windows. So of course I have to roll down the window and let out our freshly semi warm air, which is taking forever to warm up by the way. I look back into the back seat and all 4 kids look like they have taken on the habit of smoking cigarettes. Kailey and Cassie thought it was cool they could blow out white air. CJ and Kris were just amazed at the snowflake looking designs on the windows. Those things are very kewl looking by the way. It literally looks like snowflakes got stuck to your window and froze in place. Very pretty. I am seriously hoping it warms up either today or tomorrow because I have to run to Wal-Mart and buy Kailey a girlie coloring book with some crayons, which has to be wrapped for her Christmas Party in class this Friday. They are swapping gifts and making waffles for breakfast that day. She has to take a jar of cherries for the waffles. Who eats cherries on their waffles? I don't! But maybe some people do? I'm not a big cherry eater, only when it involves chocolate, then I can eat them. Oh now I'm getting hungry...I might have to go dig out my stash of chocolate covered cherries we bought at the store Saturday! Oh Yummy!!!

Over on Jumping in the Jungle, Jane is hosting a WHY WEDNESDAY where we can ask WHY? and hopefully get some answers to our most unanswered questions. So for my question I'd like to ask, "How come our husbands can't read our mind?" Wouldn't life be so much easier if they could. Then they wouldn't have the excuse of "I didn't hear you say or ask me to do that!" Knowing good and well they did, but they try to act like they didn't. If they could read our minds they wouldn't have that excuse. And when its time to fold laundry or do dishes, they would read our minds and know to come help out without having to be asked. They would even be able to read our minds and know "Okay, the trash bag is overflowing, please take it out NOW! and don't forget to put a clean bag in the trash can when your finished!"

Tuesday and Rain

Guess what?!?! It snowed a little bit. I even got a picture of it. Yup sure did! Over in the corner of our yard, where Chloe likes to dig a hole, there is white stuff, I think its snow! How exciting! LOL! Yea I guess it doesn't take much to excite me. To bad that's all the snow we got, I think the rain is washing it away, kind of depressing, stupid rain! Maybe we will get more snow another day right?! One can hope.

I am a member of a Blogger group called SITS, I am sure you have seen their little buttons over on the side of my blog. Anyway, yesterday they featured the nicest blog, the family is just amazing. I just turned in both of my final projects! Now I have to hold my breath for a week until I get my final grades!!! I'll be fine in my writing class, its my critical thinking class I'm worried about. *sigh*

Any way, I just noticed something really weird. I'm taking this medicine and it won't let me cry. I mean the medicine is suppose to help you get over being depressed so your not all sad and crying all the time, but man, not to be able to cry at all sucks! I mean what if I stumped my BIG toe! Would I cry then? lol I'm not sure, all I know is I can't freaking cry and it's a really weird feeling.

Well I am a bit exhausted like this here little kitty cat and I think I should get some sleep. I have to get up early to get the kids to school.

Well its finally Friday. But the hubby has school all weekend so there isn't much special about this weekend. Well except I have 2 final projects due Sunday night. One is almost finished and I haven't even started on the second. So yea I'm going to be busy this weekend doing homework. What fun! I'm hoping the hubby gets off early today like he said he would, cause I really don't want to do grocery shopping by myself with 4 kids tomorrow. So maybe we can go tonight. Well nothing really else to run my mouth/fingers about. Just another day at the house.

We went to K-Mart today and they are having a Christmas special. So we signed up to get our Family Christmas Picture done this Friday at 3:30pm at the Olan Mills photo place inside K-Mart. This will be our first ever family photo, so I hope it turns out nice. Wish us luck with all 4 kids. The girls are going to wear red dresses. The boys are going to wear light blue dress shirts with little red ties. Me and Chuck are going to wear white shirts. Hopefully we all look okay next to each other with the different colors. We shall see I guess. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Well the boys were not well enough to go to Church today. *cries* I really wanted to go!!! *throws a fit* Oh well, hopefully next weekend. Not much really going on over here. We had a yard sale yesterday and made $200 selling toys and what not. Next weekend we are going to do it again but this time we are going to get rid of some clothes. Wish us luck!

It's COLD!

Thank goodness I called the plumber yesterday and they are going to come turn our heater on! I know weird, plumbers turn the heater on??? Beats the heck out of me! All I care about is they are going to turn the heat on TODAY between 1-3pm. I can't wait, it's so cold! Me and the boys are all huddled up on my bed this morning under covers watching cartoons.

Yesterday we got a letter from our new church. Enclosed was a $5 Wal-Mart gas card! How kewl is that?!?! I'm beginning to like our new church more and more. I am even looking forward to going this Sunday. Unfortunately it might just be me and the girls going, because the boys are still not feeling well and I don't want them to go to church and get other kids sick.

Well I have to go wash dishes and get some laundry done. Have a great day everyone!!!

Sick babies and not much sleep

Last night while finishing up my homework, my husband fell asleep next to me on the bed and proceeded to talk in his sleep. I couldn't understand half of what he said, but it was interesting to try and figure out what the heck he was saying. I figured I'd play on the computer until he finally stopped talking because I knew there would be no way I could sleep while he was over there having his own conversation in his dreams. After about 20 minutes of this he woke up, startled and upset. I closed my laptop, put it aside and rubbed my fingers through his hair for a little while as he calmed down. Soon after, CJ starts coughing and crying. So I go check on little man and he isn't feeling to hot so I gave him some cough and cold medicine to help him sleep. Poor Kristopher had already started not feeling well earlier in the day and I had given him some cold medicine already to help him sleep through the night. So both kids were drugged up and hubby had already fallen back to sleep, so now its my turn right? Yea right, I tossed and turned forever it seemed. I finally feel asleep around 2am I believe. Around 5am hubby woke me up to tell me goodbye as he was leaving for work. I then tossed and turned some more and about 6am CJ started whining and coughing some more. So much for going back to sleep. I didn't even have the energy to fight with the girls to get them ready and off to school this morning. Both the boys have runny noses and don't feel good. The girls seem to be okay though. I'm going to have to bribe them into babysitting some today so I can get caught up on some house work and laundry. Poor kids probably would rather go to school then be stuck at home helping me. But getting them to school this morning by 7:30am after not much sleep and being exhausted was just not at the top of my list. My list was more like get out of bed, change diapers, give medicine, feed kids, can I go to sleep now?

So how many of you lovely people out there plan to vote today? I found out that the school my girls attend, is actually an official voting site. Unfortunately I can't vote in Texas because I'm registered in North Carolina. Figures. Maybe next time. I'm curious who our next president is going to be and a little nervous about it as well. I want all the soldiers to come home from Iraq, I know that much. So which ever president plans to do that, I want them to win.

Well I am a few days off from the 1st of November, but I wanted to still tell everyone "HAPPY NOVEMBER!" I can't believe October is gone already. I put away the Halloween decorations earlier, now they will collect dust until next year. Soon we will be pulling out Christmas decorations. WOW where did the year go? It's been busy that's for sure. Me and the kids have lived in 3 different places this year. I was blessed with a beautiful little niece, Adrian, who I adore and miss terribly. I was blessed with a little cousin, Aaron, who is so very handsome and special. There were also two other little ones brought into this world this year, my brother had another baby, and one of my close friends had a baby. Wow all these babies, how blessed we all are! We have so much to be Thankful for!

When your bored, what do you do?

It's not like I have a lot of spare time, between 4 kids, homework, and daily life, there isn't a lot of time left over. But when there is a chance to slip away and just be "ME", here is what I like to do.

The first thing would be to play on my favorite Forums or check my favorite blogs. My favorite web sites would have to include, The Rebel Alliance (which is fixing to get a major overhaul), Army Wives Forums (a place where everyone is going through the same Army crap), and my two favorite blogs, Because I Said So (a mom of 6), and Being Five (a cute little comic strip).

The second thing on my list would be to read a good romance novel. I have two favorite authors. Nicholas Sparks and Richard Paul Evans. I've currently read all of Nicholas Sparks' books, even his recent one. I've read all of Richard Paul Evans books except for his last one, Grace. It is already out on shelves, I am just having a hard time finding it.

Next would be playing the Sims2. Oh what fun! I love building kewl new houses and playing a new or existing family. Making a Sim hold their bladder until they can't any longer and they pee their pants! Setting a house on fire and watching them scream and jump around! Make them fall in love, get married, and start their own little family, that is the best part. Yeah, it keeps me busy when I'm bored. I am really excited because the Sims3 is fixing to come out next year, on my mom's birthday of all days. Lucky mom, what a great Birthday Present!

So, what do you do in your spare time when you are good and bored?

Well if you count today and Halloween day, its a 9 day countdown. See, when you have kids, they sometimes try to make the countdown as short as possible. They like to cut off the actual day the event happens and the current day we are on. My kids are especially good at it. The kids have had a lot of things to countdown in the past year.

Anyway, not much going on today. Sitting around, watching my soaps at the moment. Typing on here during commercials. The boys are playing with their 50 million cars. Well gotta run, just wanted to post some kind of update.

We still have boxes and stuff everywhere. The house is a mess in my opinion. But in time we should get it all organized and everything will have a place. I'm looking forward to the Garage Sale to get rid of most of our stuff that is just taking up space.

I'm glad we chose to stay in a house on the East side of town. Chuck works with a guy who lives on the West side of town and his truck was broken into right outside his apartment. Scary! While I am on the subject of Chuck, he seems to really be getting along with his co-workers and settling in good so far. Which is awesome news compared to Germany. They are already talking about sending him to the promotion board! YAY!
